Although sometimes it’s hard to admit, the journey to a healthy weight can be a tremendous opportunity for personal growth. Being over weight is most likely not an experience most of consciously chose to have, but it’s an experience just the same. And with experience comes learning. The journey to a healthy weight is more about a journey of self discovery than a number on the scale. When we embrace the opportunity to learn more about ourselves, our habits and our triggers, we are able to regain control that we might not have even realized we lost. Losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight is not easy but it’s more than worth it. Take a second this morning to reflect on all you are learning about yourself and all the things that you can be grateful for about this weight loss process.
