Don’t let the process of getting to a healthy weight become an added stress in your life. If losing weight feels stressful to you, the chances of you throwing in the towel before you reach your goal weight are much, much greater.
Relax and accept the fact that the journey to your healthy weight is not going to be a straight line. You will make all kind of choices and not all of them will revolve around losing the most weight possible each week and that’s a GOOD thing! IT IS! Why? Because, yes, you want to shed your extra pounds, but you don’t want to do it at the expense of feeling deprived or stifled. Your life is going on RIGHT NOW. Your life IS right now and the strategy of trying to put it on hold until you lose some weight just doesn’t work.
Take it from me…relax (like little Oakley does every morning after his walk, see photo!), take a breath and contemplate the easy things you can do today to make yourself healthier. Enjoy this process and surround yourself with positive feelings and people!!! Life is good!
