There isn’t any food we can’t have, if we just take control of the portion size. It takes a conscious effort to pay attention to portions because the amounts we are served and the amounts we are used to eating has become distorted. We don’t even realize how over-sized our portions are sometimes.
It’s amazing how satisfied we can be with so much less than we are used to, when we slow down and take the time to portion out the foods we eat. It’s not about deprivation, it’s about enjoying the food we eat even more.
