We can be our own harshest critic and it is unnecessary. Expecting perfection is counter productive to ANY goal we wish to achieve. Every step of this journey is a learning experience NOT a failure. Achieving success is NOT a straight shot from point A to point B. Life throws lots of curves, twist and turns into our plans and we act accordingly, doing the best we can at that moment. To look back and criticize ourselves for that is unfair.

There is no doubt about it…..when we feel better, we do better. It’s easier to make better food choices and we feel like moving around and being more active when we are not beating ourselves up.

I know you have weight and health goals you want to achieve….we all do….but for today, let’s try to be content with where we are at in our journey this moment. Let’s reflect on what we have done right and what we are doing better. Let’s allow gratitude to lighten our mood today as we live our healthy lifestyle!

If there is anything you don’t like about what you did yesterday (or didn’t do) or week or for the last several years even…..today you can change it. Move FORWARD and make changes while being kind to yourself!!!!!!
