Best 2 SmartPoint Tea Latte In The House

I’m not a coffee drinker, but I love tea lattes and I love(d) to frequent Starbucks. Alas, those days are over, for now, as we shelter in place. After many experiments and few different variations, this is my favorite at-home version, so I thought I’d share😊. And of course, it’s quite low in Smartpoints! I’m certain coffee would work just as well in lieu of the tea if you desire!

Today I chose chocolate Premier Protein and English Breakfast tea (shown above) so my tea latte tasted more like hot chocolate, which is never a bad thing! On most days though, I add a container of vanilla or carmel Premier Protein to my handy dandy milk frother-steamer. While it’s doing it’s thing, in the Keurig, I make a cup of whatever kind of tea sounds good. Once both are done, I mix them together and put in a 20 oz Yeti so it stays hot all morning. I use the entire container of Premier Protein, which has 30g of protein for only 2 Smartpoints.

If you don’t have steamer-frother at home, you can heat the Premier Protein in the microwave in a jar and then shake it up to froth. That’s how I started, then once I fell in love with the drinks, I ordered the steamer-frother😁

The protein fills me up and the taste gives my morning a sweet, warm and comforting start. Love it! It makes more than 20 ounces, so I actually fill a second mug, too. I feel like I’m getting 2 lattes for the price of one! It’s all about mindset….😜

Today’s an easy one and it’s been talked about many times before, so you may already know about it. But, it’s helping me stay really satisfied in the mornings, so thought it might be a reminder and help you as well.

Steamed and Frothed Premier Protein Flavor Combos:

Vanilla with Earl Grey tea = Perfect London Fog

Carmel with Chai tea (just the tea, not the mix) = Perferct Chai Tea Latte

Chocolate with English Breakfast tea or Oolong = Yummy Hot Chocolate

Vanilla with Peppermint Tea = Peppermint Latte

    Just to be sure I’ve got this right – you put all 11 oz. of the Premier Protein into your steamer/frother and then combine that with a cup of tea which you have prepared in your Keurig right? The Premier Protein is sweet so no need to add Stevia or Monk Fruit right? I’ve been drinking the Keurig Chai with 1/4 cup of frothed FF milk and a little Monk Fruit but I’m missing out on the protein. I didn’t think the frother could handle 11 oz. I’ll definitely try this as soon as I get the Premier Protein!

      Yep! My steamer/frother holds it easily. No added sweetener needed
