Our fam was back together in IL for Christmas! Wishing you a blessed 2020!! ~Chase, Oakley, Terra, Darin, Ivy and Cole

๐๐๐๐๐๐So here we areโฆthe first day of a new year and a new decade๐๐๐๐๐
If youโre anything like me, the scale can be a scary thing right now. After all the parties, traveling, cookie baking and eating, meals out with friends and family celebrating settles down, despite our best efforts, most of us have been consuming more than we normally do. Itโs like that for everyone, so letโs NOT dwell!
After the Thanksgiving holiday, I had several clients quite upset about what they considered large, quick weight gains. Weโve all been there. Losing a true 5 pounds takes most of us about a month to do yet the scale can go up 5 pounds after just a few days of โholiday cheerโ. After talking through it, all of them committed to getting back to the routine that was working for them pre-Thanksgiving. Talking about the gain got it out in the open. Realizing they were not alone disarmed a great deal of the negative emotion they had been feeling. The weight gains that seemed so huge to each one of them, were suddenly not quite as dramatic. So guess what happened the following week? All of them lost the majority of the weight they gained in just one week. A couple of them lost more than they had gained, giving them a net LOSS for the month of November.
Why am I telling you this? Because the most important thing for me, for you, for anyone of us to do is resist the urge to feel bad about a weight gain. Letโs start the new year off feeling energized and ready for a fresh start! What we think about, we bring about. Dwelling on a holiday weight gain can leave us feeling defeated, frustrated and sometimes even sad. Not the best recipe for inspiration moving forward into 2020. Getting right back to a healthy routine is the next step and it works! Letโs feel good about it!
Cheers to a happy and healthy 2020โจ๐ฅโจ๐พโจ
